ifi here a noise on my td5 i tun the radio up

try putting it in reverse gear see if that works

my friend has a 200 tdi disco with the later r380 box on the end of it , i,m 99 % sure 300 tdi will fit a lt 77 , hope this helps

check the bulk head as well

give you some idear of power difference i,ve got a 2002 110 crew cab td5 , now my mates of which have a both 200 and 300 tdis can,t keep up with me and thats with me towing my ifor williams trailor loaded with my series 1 winch challange motor thats the power for you , and its never let me down...

i would say 2200 is about right if it tidy 90 tdi

got a momo 14 inch on my defender flat type was,nt cheap but i love it gives you more leg room and looks the dogs bollocks and drive nice, and for getting mud on it well put glooves on when your going to get your hands dirty , you would,nt feel a nice ladys legs with dirty hands would you!!!

i said the same 200 tdi rule , good engine i,ll say that , but i bort a TD5 defender got it chipped , i,ll never go back fast is,nt the word!!!!

good luck , i,ve been down that road buy one with it factory fitted unless you know some one with a diagnostic computer if you get one fault where you hav,nt fitted a wire or something , you will need to clear the fault , just hings like that are a night mare unless you want a challange. hope...

chassis number should be O/S front chassis leg just before front bumber on the side of the chassis. look in front of the wheel under wheel arch if thats any help
