135k mate, I will add that the rattle is ten times worse with the aux belt on. With it off it's nowhere near as bad but still doesn't sound right?

Hey guys, used my car for a wedding yesterday and after the day had ended I noticed an extra amount of noise coming from the engine bay.. Pulled off a few covers today to take a look and it seems as tho it's coming from the fan pulley area, it sounds horrendous like something is knocking...

That is bad,get the brake cleaner on it ASAP and get that harness changed. U will have to minor that connector for a while until the loom cleans out

Most of the early d2's have the guts fitted for a manual diff lock to be fitted, you just need the lever assembly. Later ones not so, best bit is to check when u buy around the top the gearbox for its presence..

Nanocom will highlight some of the more obvious faults too like injector harnesses etc. What it won't pic up is rust! Don't buy a rotten one!

Take someone with u who knows about D2's, preferably someone who's confident using a nanocom or similar. A decent one can be had for 3k, but so can a dog quite easily!

Check the fpr as well for leakage, mines down on power needing a new fpr..

Thanks buddy just joined that forum, yeah chassis looked good, has had some patches done on the rear after a bit was picked up last MOT. I intend to get the wire brush out when the weather gets better along with a tin of wax oil to protect the chassis in future.
