    109 needed

I know it is the wrong forum section and I apologise for that now but I am trying to work out the impossible quick. I need a legal 109 safari/station wagon around about Yorkshire North. Someone down that way wants to buy my Hilux and I need transport right away type thing. Anything considered...

Don't life get in the way

I've got a donnor defender 90 for the engine so there is no problems there, just can't be arsed taking it out and fitting it and doing the 414. One engine a year is enough for me. I reckon I'll sell the Hilux and look for another 109 to keep me going :D

Don't life get in the way

I am still no further forward with sorting out my 109. I have just not had the time  My wife's rover 414 engine froze solid just after passing it's mot! So I fitted a new engine and all is well there but now I have not got the enthusiasm to tackle the 109 engine swap etc. I have thinking...

Thanks Charlieccu, Davec, Spyderman! Would the standard Series four blade fan fit without fouling the radiator? Probably a dumb question  I saw the battery in its original position, witchcraft or the :alien: I’m sure, got to be! Maybe that also explains the fan… I’ll give...

Hi folks, Time to start work on my 109 and get her on the road next spring. Do you know if it might be possible like this guy in the below link has done and use a viscous fan from a military 2.25 petrol engine rather than an electric fan when converting a 109 from a 2¼ diesel to the...

    Rear 109 doors

Hi you wonderful people:hippie: What can I do with my one piece 109 rear safari/station wagon doors? They are very rusty at the bottom. I have been told that replacements are impossible to find without paying bucket loads of money! Does anyone know if there are repair sections...

    2.5N/A wanted

Thanks guys, so much choice, what to do??? Good advice Brnocz, starting with a rebuild does sound like a good plan but I would rather find a good running engine? and get it in there. I already have a fair bit to do to the rest of the 109 and have kind of made a plan that I would rather not add...

    2.5N/A wanted

After many hours weighing the cost involved fitting a new engine to my series 109 I have decided on the 2.5 N/A. I was going to go with the V8 but the one I have the offer of has done quite high mileage and when I think about with my sensible head I can't afford the fuel. The TDI engine are so...

    My 109 deisel

True ;) I ran a 2.25 for 5 years in an 88. I personally think an 88 can just about get away with it but a 109 loaded and I mean loaded with timber climbing the hills around where I live will not work for me. It's not that I need speed, I don't live anywhere near motorways and the like, I live in...
