Turned out even the new one I had tried was faulty so I was thrown off course a bit

Turned out to be manifold pressure sensor also known as manifold temperature sensor :)

Have done/ tried all of the above, it's such a mystery. It's fine first thing in the morning for as long as I drive it but if I turn the engine off for let's say ten mins then start it again it just lags really bad and until it hits turbo.

Have changed it for new with no improvement

Thanks for your reply, Maf has been replaced for genuine with no effect and Egr removed. I have also checked wastegate is free and all inter cooler pipes have been checked. I thought I'd just test the water to see if anyone had had a similar fault, I have read many other people's problems that...

Hi guys I have a disco 2 td5, It's got a very strange fault.
