Long story short. Two garages had my D4 2010 SE 3.0 and went all through the car trying to find a fuel issue which ended up being a high pressure fuel valve and 6 new injectors. Got the car back and found this in the boot. No idea what it is or where it goes.

Thanks mate. I’ll check that. The only thing with the Discovery 4 is that it doesn’t have the unlock/lock button on the centre console. It has them on the door panel and they can’t be pressed together.

The upper tailgate won’t open. The button on the bottom tailgate worked when I managed to get the top tailgate to open. So the issue is the upper tailgate not opening.

No, do not hear any sound when pressing the key fob, boot unlock or the in-car door unlock button.

Tailgate wouldn’t open so I did the ‘get in the boot job’, spent a good out or so getting the boot open from the inside then fitting the actuator. Double checked the plug connection, put everything back together and boot still won’t open. I checked the cable and that looked fine. Apart from...
