Which battery & how big is the battery tray?

I'm sure they are, but my Defender has them!! It has a quick connector and winch at the front, with an isolator for the winch and one for the entire circuit built in there! All of this was fitted by the previous owner...

Which battery & how big is the battery tray?

Hi all I have a knackered battery (I think). I have been looked at some beefy one's with 780 CCA, I have a 1991 90, with a Defender 200TDi. I'm looking at the Bosch S5 or S4 battery (780 or 680 CCA's), as an upgrade to the current one, which has 610 CCA's. Euro car parts have 15% off their...

Anybody any experience of Maxxis Mudder Tyres?

I am! The 205's came on the truck. Previous owner did a lot of road work. I'm going 235/85 or 265/75. Anyway, any experience of the tyres mentioned?

Anybody any experience of Maxxis Mudder Tyres?

Hi all I am looking for a set of decent sized mud tyres for my Defender, I need to go bigger than my current one's. One placed has offered me Maxxis Buckshot 754 tyres. I believe these are new (not retreads) and the pattern looks quite aggresive. Just wondered if anyone had any experience...

    stereo installation???

Hi guys Sorry for the thread hi-jack, but any answer may help you. I have a 1991 D90, and it doesn't have a stereo. The standard connector in the 'fender does not fit into either of my "spare" stereo's I have in the garage. Is it some "old" connector that does not fit modern stereos? Any idea...

Confused on VIN numbers and brakes

Hi all I have 91 Defender 90. It's VIN number is "SALL.....". Paddocks suggests my vehicle is of the "from LA" variety, which should be disc brakes on the rear. However, it has drum brakes. Whats going on? I presume someone must have swapped it for an older one at some point? Any advice or...

    defender or landcruiser

Land cruiser will be far more reliable, but servicing/ parts will be more expensive. We all love LR products, but they do require, lets say, more "tlc" than the jap vehiicles. that said, they are a little better off road (if you want full on off road ability, it has to be LR IMO) and have bags...
