P38A Very loud air con noise?

Hi all So my P38 2001 jersey import has developed a constant a very loud air blowing noise that seems to be disconnected from how strong the air con is on. It is coming from under the passenger footwell/behind the glove box. sounds like when you put air con to max and it works really hard to...

    P38A Another odd water leak

Hi all, Been some fantastic ideas here, alas work commitments stopped me getting anything done on the RR this weekend but I'm hoping next weekend will have some available time! Sounds like at least a day is needed to try all these things. Might try in order of easyness and go from there. The...

    P38A Another odd water leak

Well I appreciate the help non the less! Sounds like issue one to solve. Just need to know how to find it, the hoses/pipes I can find are all engine bay related (Top Hose, Bottom Hose, Manifold return hose, and so on). Shall continue googling until I find it an update the post :)

    P38A Another odd water leak

I do believe it is at its worst while Air-Con is on, or rather when the air-con is working its hardest. It is a large amount of water for condensation, but then I'm only guessing that. You wouldn't know what that pipe is called/how to find it? I always user rimmerbros for parts and I can't find...

    P38A Another odd water leak

Hi, excellent to get some advice. I did actually check the pollen filters first time round. But I was checking to make sure they weren't clogged up and never through to check the condition of the seal! Genius idea sir. I shall have a look this weekend, I remember the screws were very rusty and...

    P38A Another odd water leak

Hi everyone, I know this subject may have been covered several (hundred) times but I'm struggling for what to even google for! I have a 2001 Range Rover Vogue, Petrol V8. It came to me with an odd leak, goes into the back of the passenger footwell and the carpet there is soaked through. I've...

Freelander 2004 project car - ideas and advice

Thanks for the comments! It actually went off to a garage who did a great job restoring the engine and putting it back in working order. Sadly on my first trip out the alternator blew! (Nothing like bad timing) but managed to source a new one and me and GF fitted it yesterday, hopeful it will...

    Leak in the "lock box"

Hi all, We seem to have a significant amount of water leaking into the "lock box" in the boot of our freelander 1 (not sure on proper term but where the jack and that is kept). Even when we dry it out completely it then gets soaked again, enough water is seeping into it to create and actual...

Freelander 2004 project car - ideas and advice

@rob_bell thanks, indeed it looks to be a mostly ancillaries and wiring problem. However it will take me several more days to get it all sorted, even just changing over the alternator to one that should fit didn't work out too well! Considering this has now added quite so many days to getting it...

Freelander 2004 project car - ideas and advice

The wiring loom doesn't match the different ports in various places. Things like the alternator won't connect to the wiring loom I have. So even if I could get replacement parts it's going to take too long! Already had the car on the road out the front of the house for over a week, can't leave...

Freelander 2004 project car - ideas and advice

Well sadly after getting the engine out and preparing the new one to go in we have discovered the engines don't match! So after this many days spent on it we are taking the plunge and spending money on getting a reconditioned one fitted for us!

Freelander 2004 project car - ideas and advice

Sadly halfords didn't but found a local independent that did! This is the stage i was at this morning, since then the fuel pipes, propshaft and more wiring has been undone. All that's left in the morning is the gear link (couldn't figure it out on my own) and drive shafts and the engine should...
