Thanks Hippo! Interesting that the X-431 showed a SECURITY section but no options involving the key after searching every menu selection

Hi Landyzone,
Lost my key here, ordered a new one - now trying to reset immobiliser to new keycode in my 2003 Freelander1 SE3.

Thanks for info, back wheels are not moving which seems like an issue with VCU. Mechanic is on his way over ...
I dont have issues with wheels seizing; however I'm not sure if brake binding could be a different concept.

My main question is how to to evaluate Freelander AWD after car has been lifted.
2003 Freelander 2.5L has been towing my 23' boat trailer for the past 2.5 years. Boat weight may have been a little over the towing limit but things felt in control. 4.5K pounds..."a little...;)"
I look to be...

Hi,
The attached picture is of a coolant hose T-splitter. It is located directly above my transmission and is leaking coolant onto transmission wiring harness... which is giving me an F4 error.
I covered the wires with a plastic bag which helps (and cleaned them with wd40)
But I need...

Hi,
'03 Freelander 3door rear window does not work if top is down.
If top gets removed window goes down automatically and does not engage until top is on.
My soft-top sensor is loose because window goes down while I'm driving and I have to shake the top around before I can raise the...

Hi,
I've got 2003 Freedlander with harmon kardon premium stereo.
Trying to replace my stock headunit with a sony that has an auxilary input.
The headunit has 3 wiring plugs behind it, the 3rd harness is likely for amplifiers and steeringwheel controls; tho I have not been able to find the...

I don't know how much the boat weighs. With AWD everything is smooth up to 60mph. Above 60 and i start to feel out of control. SO I stay around 50. I guess I should have started a new thread for this ATF question.
Replace ATF fluid with 6 quarts
Replace transmission filter
Anything...

Hi All, :D
My 2003 freelander convertible is doing amazing after replacing ECU that wasn't sending a signal to cylinder 6. Now on to the transmission:
I'm now pulling a pretty big boat. My transmission has been slipping for the past 6 months while the engine is cold. Once the...
