i want to attach a seperate rev counter into my 110 3.9 v8. it used to be a diesel.
i was wondering where the v8 takes its pick up from for an aftermarket rev counter many thanks guys

hi yea i have cleaned the stepper and the plenum and resealed with hylomar i have checked the air gap and that is fine i now have the problem of not running all 8 cylinders i have just swapped the rotor arm dizzy cap plugs and leads it runs like a bag o ****e at the moment.

hi guys i have a 3.9 v8 auto discovery engine that is in a defender 110 crew cab it has idle issues where it revs up and down when stationary.
I have been told to check the RST but i dont know where to start looking if you guys could help please thanks in advance.

hi just wondering my lift pump only pumps a few times on the handle. when i am trying to bleed it i cant get furl to come out of the banjo on the top of the fuel filter any ideas cheers

when you push the button to make it go up does it stop near the top and judder around if it does it sounds like the teeth on the mechanism that have stripped it is a common problem with the disco windows.

it could have stripped the teeth on the motor does it slide down very far if it falls down all the way the runner on the bottom of the glass could have rusted and fallen apart hope this helps

hi mate with the smoke at start up it could be the fuel pump timing try this
YouTube- land rover tools 200tdi and 300tdi Bosch VE pump timing with the timing cover case intact it worked for me
might be worth flushing out the inter cooler and inlet manifold with parrafin
alot of people take off...
