I am worried, seriously worried! My '94 300 has two sunroofs, both open as they should and neither leaks! Can this be the only Disco with watertight sunroofs? I don't want to be different from other Disco owners, so what should I do to get my sunroofs to leak?

Parafin, and leave filled overnight. No need to get it completly dry before refitting, parafin has no adverse effect on engine.

Anti Roll bar balljoints can rattle if seriously worn, worth checking fuel tank as well!

Does anyone know of a source to replace the soundproofing felt from the underside of the bonnet ('94 300)? Either cut to size or sufficient to do the job. Has anyone done away with the felt, if so has it made any difference to the engine noise?

My '94 300 Tdi has alloys (Freestyle) and no slots in wheel studs! The spare is steel and fits with the correct nuts supplied with the car.

Start with a full service, including oils. And stick a can of injector cleaner in the tank. Once prop shaft is fixed, give it a good fast run.

I got a set cut at the local shoe repair shop, just keys no fob. i am sure any key cutter will cut them if the have the blanks.

If the rear crossmember (the bit the bumper is bolted to) is bent, it will mean a right-off, not easy to repair, even if it's just corroded. Check boot floor and where rear seats are bolted down, bet it's buckled there!

I renewed all bushes with poly ones last year, Disco does a lot of caravan towing, no problems at all, very smoth ride with no knocks or clunks. Would go for polys any time.

Remove the pipes from the block/oil filter first, let them drain into a container placed beneath filter housing (approx 1 litre will drain out), then remove cooler end of pipes.

It does work, if jacked high enough, but it's a good reason to change diff oil.
