After having no end of trouble with my indicators I traces the fault to a bad earth. I also replaced the hazard switch and relay just to be sure, as my hazard switch was not in good condition.

has any one got any advice? basicly my wiper motor on my 87 defender seems to make a strange ticking noise when it operates. wipers work fine but have only just started making this noise. if its any help iv had the instrument panel off today to sort out another problem i had with my gauges.

Thanks for the replies. Iv had a look at the fuses and all seem fine. Not going to have a chance to look behind the dash until friday, so I will report back when I find out more.

Today I took the defender out for a drive and noticed that the fuel and temperature gauges were not working. Iv done a search and found it could be a wiring problem or the voltage stabiliser unit. my question is where will I find this unit? Sorry if its a dumb question but I know very little...

I have a bit of rot in my passenger footwell. Does anyone on here know of any competent garages who could weld/repair this in south wales...ideally in merthyr tydfil.
