Hi there,

Having a wierd indicater fault on my 1990 200tdi 90 pick up, when i indicated to the right the other day it blew a fuse, i replaced it and when i put on the left indicater it works on all three lights but they were flashing really fast and then went to put the right on again and i got a buzzing for about five seconds with no lights and then the fuse blew. When i activate the hazards it also blows a fuse but its seperate one 15A #2 iirc.

Any help would be great. Oh and forum looks really handy.

Had similar problems on mine. Not exactly the same, but intermittant indicator and lights problems, and if it rained, every time I used the left indicator it blew the fuse and took out the gauges.

Turned out to be water in the light units.

Bought a set of eight lights of ebay for about 25 quid. No problems since.

After having no end of trouble with my indicators I traces the fault to a bad earth. I also replaced the hazard switch and relay just to be sure, as my hazard switch was not in good condition.

Same problem here, but with left flasher. After many attempts, replaced hazard switch, still blew fuse. Eventually traced wiring form column to left flasher and found a dead short. Rewired from said column to left flashers..problem solved.:clap2:

Bad earth on the right hand side.

Start with the front one: check the connectors and then the earths.

I suspect it won't be but try swapping the flashing unit for a proven one.

Let us know.
