    SRS ECU Internal Fault

Hi Guys Thanks for all the info above. It did initially come up with an o/c bulb but this cleared using the Faultmate. As Wammers says too, there ain't no seat airbags on a '98. Also, I think the rotary coupler would show up on the diagnostics. In the end, I got a replacement ECU from our good...

    SRS ECU Internal Fault

Thanks Wammers. I was hoping to get one before taking the centre console in bits but looks like I'll have to do that first.

    SRS ECU Internal Fault

Hi Guys I've had a faulty alternator for a little while which I've just replaced. However, (also a little while ago) it threw up a SRS warning light and Airbag Fault message which I put down at the time to either the duff alternator or flat battery. After changing the alternator, accessing it...

    Failed her MOT today

Try bending the contacts up a bit. The contacts go through the printed circuit board and make contact on the underside. Sort of sandwiches the board between the contacts and the plastic of the bulb holder.

    Advice welcomed

Pity they can't be arsed to put fuel in for people to test drive - or is that their way of making sure you don't go very far so you don't find all the problems? And why do they only do a full check AFTER you've said you're going to buy it. They all do that sir, don't they. Good luck with it anyway.

Thinking of up grading to a L322

I think with the XC90 transmissions, it's only the T6 petrol versions that suffer. Apparently it's an old GM box whereas the Diesel uses an Aisin Warner box - totally different. They had to use the GM box on the end of the straight 6 as it was the only one they could get that would fit. The...

Why do we love these cars?

Farmers love 'em to bits so the demand is sky high.

In need of help with my Nanocom on RR P38

I'll make a point of checking that connector as well thanks Stopover.

In need of help with my Nanocom on RR P38

FYI. I've had the same problem with my Faultmate, talks to everything else but the EAS. I ended up getting Storey Wilsons software and that worked fine. I didn't get round to contacting Blackbox at the time and then it got forgotten. Must pull it out and have a look at it again (it was a couple...

    Airbags to Springs whats required?

You need the diagnostics from Datatek before you can do anything. It looks like you have a 'hard' fault on the system which requires clearing before it will operate. Without these diagnostics, you won't get very far.

    Front diff breather question

Sorry - was scrolling from post to post without going back to the forum itself and it doesn't show the L322 prefix so didn't see what type you had. No idea where the pipe goes to I'm afraid.

    Front diff breather question

It shouldn't have a one way valve as the idea of the breather hose is to allow air inside the diff to escape as the oil heats up and expands and also, just as importantly, to allow air back in again as the oil cools and contracts. You don't say which Range Rover you've bought so I can't tell you...

eas pump running more than usual

Mine does this as well and I think the old DSE did too. I've never found out why either. Really odd.

    What do these do?

I had the same problem on my old DSE and that was broken wiring from the stalk. I also have it on the current one but haven't had time to investigate yet. I expect it to be the same though. It's fiddly but fixable with a soldering iron and heat shrink. The wires will look OK on the outside as...

    Pulsating dash and head lights

They're usually pretty good. I have an engine from them that's excellent but I also needed an alternator so I got one from them as well. It was a couple of months before I got round to fitting it but it has the classic pulsing ABS light which indicates a blown diode in the rectifier. I've left...
