    Agree with nodge try spraying wd40 at each pulley and listen out for a change in noise even slight will point you in the direction you need to be looking at

    You can strip the switches down and clean the probes inside the get clogged with dirt and grime on the contact's and sometimes just need a good clean

    Freelander 1 td4 engine issue

    It could be that your turbo boost solenoid is stuck therefore keeping the viens open in the turbo .Check the turbo boost solenoid and the connecting pipes they rot I would advise changing all the rubber vacuum pipes their not dear from the likes of Halfords.

    It'll be the resistor in the heater matrix takes about an hour to change because it's a bit of a fiddle to get old one out easier to get new one in though

    Just put an on/off switch in-between batteries if you think your going to use that much power back in the day we had lots of vans with auxiliary batteries with this configuration

    The cheapest way is fit a second battery and use that for your fridge connect + to + and - to - then both batteries stay as 12v both batteries charge when driving

    Cheapest solution is to find a small scrap of metal measure from battery to bolt hole and drill a hole 10 mm bolt job done

    Td4 broken fuel line connectors

    Sounds like you've broken the connector's for the fuel return you can buy little plastic T piece's from Halfords or any motor spares and piping,(pennies) and easy to do .Mine bust a pipe diesel everywhere only little pipes about 4/5in long

    Disconnect the rear light clusters 1 at a time to see if one of them is causing the problem or replace both with second hand ones for a few pounds
