Freelander 1 WHATS THIS SOUND FROM ?

Could be many things. Check the alternator, PS pump and crankshaft pulley for delamination of the rubber infill.
my mechanic told me they need to open the engine to check but some people told if they open the engine the price starting from 250-300€
 
As per @Nodge68 many easy checks before you dive deep that could make that noise.

And there is a difference between opening the engine and taking of the rocker/cam cover. To me 300euro would only be investigation and not very in depth

Another good check is to take the Auxiliary belt off and listen from below. That eliminates the PS Pump, Alternator & water pump noises, plus you can check them for wobbly bearings while the belt is off.

and yes ignore bobness. He's already been banned several times.
