    Power steering leak

just been out to check again. It's deffo PAS pipe work. The one you can see (with the red blobs on it) is the pump to box line. The one visable behind it it the box to reservoir. Once i get back from picking friend up from college i'll un hook them and find out which one is leaking.

    Power steering leak

this is the pipe i'm speaking of just to clarify. It might even be box to reservoir looking at it.

    Power steering leak

Had thought about that, but its not really practical when my nearest one is 35 miles away and Disco is only form of transport. Someone mentioned Wynns power steering stop leak to me.... not sure if they were joking or not.... Never been convinced of the stop leak products.

    Power steering leak

Fair enough, i'd assumed a pressurised line would emit a spray rather than a drip. Well that stuffs that idea. I've got some reinforced oil resistant pipe i was going to use.

    Power steering leak

I have a power steering leak. It's coming from the metal pipe thats runs under/beneath the radiator and appears to connect the pump to the box. It's dripping so I guess the line isn't pressurised. Would it be ok to chop the split section out and put some rubber hose on for a temp fix? I've...

    Adrian Flux WTF....!!!!!!

yup, as I can't speak for every police force but I've heard from Humberside and Lincolnshire forces they no longer issue Producers. As for Adrian Flux, i wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. I found myself off work and on £70 a week ESA a couple of years back. I changed bank accounts and...

    Central locking issue.

this is true, i think what will end up happening is i'll take out the whole mechanism and replace anything thats worn... after i've done the MOT.... timing belt... gear box seal and filter... boot floor and anything else this disco throws at me lol.

    Central locking issue.

in that case i can see it coming out, the actuator works as it should, but i think the links to it are worn out or jamming.

300tdi timing belt, 10,000 miles but 7 years

right, of course. I've not ventured into the engine much although i have the kit for the belt. Just finding someone daft enough to give me a hand lol. It'll be done before the month is out, once the welding is done and the MOT is passed.

300tdi timing belt, 10,000 miles but 7 years

i've noticed that the service intivals for the timing belt are 72,000 miles or 6 years. Now given i've come from vauxhall (3 years or 40k) is the 6 years inteval still current or was it altered like vaux as in the beginning they had 80k on their belts.

    Central locking issue.

Right, my 300tdi-Auto-none EDC is fobless so this is a key based problem. Without the actuator the door unlocks and locks fine, with the actuator in place it'll lock but won't unlock. I've replaced several of the hoop retaining clips and tried the actuator in various potitions. The lock...
