cheers for the reply. I tried that and it didnt give me a true reading for some reason.
Used digital verias in the end in piston one to get the true reading. Not just me that couldnt understand what was happening

Hi, im in the process of fitting Megajolt on my Disco 3.9 serp. I need to find TDC and have no dizzy fitted (replacement engine). Everytime i turn the pulley 1 full cycle tdc seems to change on the pulley. Sometimes its seems as much as an inch difference.

Land rover wouldnt admit to a fault that would hundreds of thousands to sort out !!!
Fit headlight guards....will slow them down abit, thats what i have done

when you come to remove the cross member( pic above)...undo the bolts (3 or 4 on each side) Then to remove it use a bottle nose jack or 2 if you have them to jack the chassis rails apart to remove it,,,,it wont budge otherwise mate

righty ho.... an update...problem solved.....
It turned out to be a blocked fuel line from the tank.
Removed the fuel line off the pump and put a small tyre compressor on it n blew bubble back to the tank...
Re-connected and hay presto...problem solved

ive been trying to help dave with this one. its really wierd as he says. When you first start it from cold...it will rev well upto 4500+ revs with NO smoke out of the exhaust. But when it start to get warm (we are only talkin 20-30 seconds) it start to struggle reving past 3000 and sometimes...

they are different , the body line( recess down the body) is in a different position so wont line up with the door line. Also i think they are a different profile on the front. Think they stand .....more square..

that would be a lot of messing but do-able...problem would be makin a trim or it would be ugly me thinks

I can send you the info for the wiring etc n bits of help. Guards.....found a company in liverpool that are a good £10 cheaper. Really makes a difference at night. far better than the Disco1 headlights. trimming your wing is nerve reckin.
