    Transfer case shift tower difference?

Thanks again James. I know my 110 had an automatic cobbled into it before I bought it. Might the difference have come from the t/box possibly being off an automatic? Just curious for the knowledge.

    Transfer case shift tower difference?

I see. And rotating that lever forward should give the clearance I need by setting the operating arm more forward as well. Thank you James.

    Transfer case shift tower difference?

From what I can tell the lever on the t/box is in the correct position. It is currently in High range. It moves toward the rear of the vehicle to go into low range. If the operating arm could clear the transmission while pointed down or slightly forward it would work like it is supposed to. but...

    Transfer case shift tower difference?

My problem is that the arm hits the top of the transmission and won't mount back to the assembly if I mount it so it will pull the t/box lever in the correct shift pattern. The only way i can get it to work is mounting it 180 degrees out and then it is shifting backwards. I don't know if maybe...

    Transfer case shift tower difference?

Currently high is front and low is back. I try reposition the lever 180 degrees to get it to shift in the correct pattern and I can't get the arm to remount on the splines. It hits the top of the transmission in this position. In the parts manual it has two gear change assemblies: FRC 7941 for...

    Transfer case shift tower difference?

Hello Chaps, I am trying to figure out how to get my 1988 110 to have the correct shift pattern for the transfer case. I have searched the internet and studied my parts manual and see that the shift arm and corresponding lever were 180 degrees out from normal. My shift pattern is backwards for...

    Trouble choosing

I have enjoyed my time here but it is time to go. I have a hard time adjusting to the "manana" aspect of it. These folks down here aren't in a hurry unless they are getting off work or driving. The lisp makes deciphering words a challenge also. Over all though it isn't bad. I get 98% of my parts...

    Trouble choosing

Just a fair warning, my experience down here with the Santana's is that the Land Rover parts may or may not fit. The early 80's ones like mine (1980) still use Land Rover parts but the ones after 1983ish are a crap shoot. Spain also doesn't really deal in classic vehicle parts so you might...

    parabolics on ex-MOD 109

Can't help you much on the Vin decoding other than to tell you the E is for Spain. Espana. I can offer some assistance as I am here in Spain and have access to the local junkyards if you need me to look at something. I can say that the Santana's I have seen post Series 3 have parabolics on them...

    Series King Cab

Dr_evil, Have you thought about a header similar to these?http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/sum-g9060/overview/ Not sure where they would set in relation to the frame but would save you some cutting on the floor board. Current set up would make for some warm feet in the winter though. Also...

    My 109" Series 3 :)

I don't have swivels and pins to compare sizes but what about milling the series pin to fit the disco swivel? You probably thought about it but I am curious.

    Fuel tank fills slow

I drive like you do. Take my time and will get there. My little 2.5 is pretty fuel efficient so whenever I can get the fuel level down without draining the tank or taking a long road trip I will check for gauze in the neck.
