    Sold it!

My 2000 2.5DHSE wnt for £3850.00 and I have been told that was a good price. Of course we all want a bit more but since it had cost £900 in parts and labour in the previous 9 months and £280 in tyres I was running out of dosh. The new owner gets a very well maintained, clean car with 155000 in...

    Fuel Mapping or Tuning Box!

I passed Poitiers last year on my way to the Gers. My wife was driving and was spooked by the total absence of traffic for at least two miles in front and behind. Bloody lovely! We will be coming to Azay le Rideau on the Loire near Tours the week after next and look fwd to the same driving...

    Bio - bloody - diesel! P38 2.5 DHSE

Tried it over winter with fully refined biodiesel with an anti-coagulant and all the stuff and the fuel filter went solid with a waxy mess and needed replacing. Tried again over the last few weeks and all well until yesterday when we were into fuel starvation and stalling. Opened the little...

    Fuel Mapping or Tuning Box!

:( Very interesting! I got my P38 2.5 3 yrs ago and soon after fitted a Rimmer Power Box which was advertised as improving BHP, torque and helping on fuel economy. It certainly improved the performance and overtaking and seemd to help the fuel economy. Recently I have measured MPG brim...

    Fuel Mapping or Tuning Box!

Rimmers in Lincolnshire do tuning boxes. I put one on my 2000 P38 2.5 DHSE which works very well. Google it, I forgot the link.

    P38 Gearbox Fault

I had similar issues with my 2000 P38 DHSE 2.5. Turned out to be the fuel filter which was clogged up therefore fuel starvation and reluctant to accelerate or change up. Also it stalled several times as it could not suck enough fuel through to tick over. Might help and its cheap and quick to do.

    What are the buggers worth?

Thanks for this. I may take the other option and get the wife/daughter combo to work harder so that I can afford the lifestyle I have become accustomed to! And run it on chip fate. Actually I tried over the winter and it seized up after 30 miles so changed the filter and all good. I have...

    What are the buggers worth?

Thanks, mucker. If I had my own oil well then I might but the world economy will not support me. Have you heard of such things on the Moor or does the real world pass you by?

    What are the buggers worth?

2000 X plate 2.5 DHSE auto 150000 miles, it all works less the drivers heated seat and the aircon needs pumping up which will be done. Loads of svce history and bills. I am the 3rd owner fm new. Rimmer PowerBox fitted so better torque and fuel consumption 28 - 32 depending. 12 mths MOT long...

A little shimmy and a little shudder!

This is probably old ground but I am relatively new to this so pse bear with me. I have new tyres, new track rod, new discs and pads. I will go again and rebalance the wheels as there is a little wobble at about 60 mph but there is still a bounce and judder when the NSF wheel drops into a...

Replacing air con condenser on P38

Replacing air con condenser on P38

Where does the a/c condenser sit in the engine bay? I have been told that mine leaks and this idea of using liquid metal to sort it sounds good. My man says £500 to sort it so anything less than that is GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!
