Thanks for reply I've changed the carb but still the same issue . I think the head will have to come off or replace with a good unit .

Series 3 is a s reg 1978 with only 50,000 done been parked up for 3 yrs put a battery on her and up she went. Could i change engine and box or would this be a mistake as series 2 is not 2a but 1961 august series2 bettter keep original? Ta Craig:confused:

Just bought 1961 series 11 swb and a series 3 swb for spares. Series 11 in pretty good nick but want to fit overdrive gearbox and freewheel hubs from series 3 to it. How much of a job will this be? Cheers Guys
