    Bearing question

Sorry Ratae, 1990 110 Defender, been stored for 3 years so giving it a bit of a full going over, both bearings fairly loose so ordered a pair based on year and model but got 1 small 1 large. Can't seem to find on google any that have the 2 large bearing like mine. Thank you

    Bearing question

I've ordered rear diff bearings and received 2 different sizes but my bearings are both the same size ( the larger of the 2) when googling all the kits seem to have 1 large 1 small. And ideas as to why mine would both be the same size? Ta

    Pipe missing??

I bought the replacement second hand complete with manifold for 80 quid, known working and returnable if it didn't. I'll rebuild the knackered and keep it as a spare.

The turbo is knackered, masses of play in all directions and mangled vanes, unfortunately my tablet won't let me upload pictures

    Pipe missing??

Probably a stupid question but if I don't ask???? The "new" turbo with manifold is identical externally to the old one but I've noticed they have a different vane configuration? ? Will this be a problem or did garrett change the configuration at some point? Cheers

Cheers I was gutted that it took so long to remove that one bolt, really wanted it running this weekend, but hey ho I'll potter about after work cleaning bits and pieces ready for the rebuild Saturday

    Pipe missing??

Old Turbo on Manifold removed, all Nuts/studs came off easier than expected apart from the right hand inlet manifold bolt grrrrrr... ended up having to get some Irwin bolt extractors as the head was chewed, Ran out of time over the weekend so will fit the "new" one on Saturday and hopefully...

Hello and can I pick some brains please!

I'm new to the forum myself but are there any well known mobile mechanics? ? I've been into K series MGs before getting the landy and we had 4 mobile mechanics up and down the country that all give good service at half the price of a garage.

I'd be inclined to take it to a different garage, a dipstick full of mayo and they're saying its not the headgasket??
