I have a slight creaking and groaning noise when reversing or going forwards on full lock. Car drives perfectly and no tightness or scrubbing at all. Did the wheel up vcu test and it passed. Anybody have this problem? What should I look at first?

Sorted out idling problem with new injectors, also fitted a new clutch, flywheel, slave and master cylinder. So I'm keeping it because despite all the critics it's such a good vehicle.

What is the best all round tyre ?

It's like a humming that increases pitch with road speed from about 40 kph.

I'm currently running on 15" Maxxis 751 m/s tyres. Does anybody know much about these and could they be causing the droning noise I have over 40 kph?

My noise is back!!! Not as bad as before but cutting in at around 30kph and increasing with road speed. VCU is fine, new tyres on the back which matching the fronts. Its not as loud as before but annoying the hell out of me. Its a drone/humming that I think is coming from the rear. The right...

My mechanic had to power bleed the system before he could get all the air out. Normal bleeding wouldnt cut it in this case. Maybe that might help.

Well clutch system has been bled and everything seem good. For the moment at least....

Mechanic calling this evening. Thinks it might just need bleeding so we will see.

Yep had a brand new oem slave fitted and no fluid leaking so must be the master cylinder I guess. I have some resistance in the peddle but only about an inch of travel.

Seems I spoke too soon. Over the last few days the clutch pedal has been getting lighter and lighter till this morning it went to the floor and didnt return back. Since everything else was replaced im thinking it's the master cylinder?? Any opinions?

Just wondering how hot a VCU should get before I need to worry. Took a 40 mile round trip at the weekend and it was hot enough to touch but I could comfortably keep my hand on it. Is this normal??
