Just fitted my first pulley at 200k, just waiting for the holding tool to arrive so I can tighten the blighter back up. Hope this one lasts as long as the original.

How did you stop the pulley from turning to achieve the extra 90 on the nut. Mine just kept moving in the engine mounts and rising up and out. So it wouldn't catch.

I'm having similar problems with mine and have been leaning towards gasket failure. But have been told by local Landy garage that that isn't likely. Pulled no1 injector out and it was slimy. Water level hasn't really moved in the expansion tank so also at a loss. Am following this thread with...

Great post on annealing, must try that next time I do an injector clean up.

Sensors were changed as a last resort. Did all the usual fuel filters etc before moving on to the next related probable cause. Was told by my local LR garage that it had to be sensors as I'd changed all the obvious and with the white smoke it was an air problem. Hence the removal and replacement...

Also have to get rid of the death rattle from the crank pulley, has become very noisy of late. Another one of those, wait for a dry day jobs.

Although that wouldn't account for all the white smoke during tick over and holding at different revs?
