it is so sad that certain small minded people believe they have reached the pinnacle of their motoring career by owning a landrover..the same landrovers owned by sh?tkickers up and down the country used for feeding cattle and housing chickens, the same ones that bottom all the reliability lists...

ultimately of course, landrover are to blame..if they invested some time and money into build quality, their trucks wouldn't fail so often meaning parts need to be replaced.

stop being so narrow minded and argumentative guys, taxi and 2001ytd4 only have our best interests in mind im sure.. they have helped to bring the matter to our attention.

Hi guys, I have an ird and vcu on order.. How do I remove the ird?? Will it be like removing a gearbox, just unbolt it and remove shafts ??
Thanks for any help as I can't find a how to guide
-
C
thanks for that guys... following some research i think it is the vcu..i thought a brake caliper was seized on but a search shows this to be a common symptom of a duff vcu..will drop the vcu and prop to confirm it..will i need to blank anything off when i do it??

C
just read an artical from bell engineering saying that the actual VCU's themselves only last about 70k and give the same symptons as ive got..thats £300 to swallow!!
