If you want British springs go for genuine Landrover ones, they are made in tonypandy in southwales.

Yeah the crossmember will fit the are the all same length just different shapes if you look on the microcat parts book there's three different ones just for discos

The disco gearbox crossmember is completely different to yours. A mate tried to fit a RRC 3.9 manifolds to his disco and it wouldn't fit he bought the correct manifolds and there was a difference.
The disco gearbox crossmember is this type look on eBay item number 261650698123

Here's my view, both new offerings and the older landrover products are all great, I've driven most of them apart from the latest Rangerover and it's Sport brother.
I've owned defenders, classic range rovers and disco 3s and they have all been off road and all as capable as each other. Each...

That white creamy stuff or mayo as I call it.
It can be a result if using poor quality oil and very short journeys or as in this case he's started the engine but not let it run for long and not letting the engine reach temp.
Check the coolant water for any oil and if it smells different that...

I had 235/85/16 on 5.5 wheels and found them terrible they kept going flat and. They aren't recommended for that size wheel. Your better off getting wolf/HD wheels which are 6.5 wide they are much better.

Yes there are a few guides, I got the landrover one which I found to be the better one.
Also do it when the engine is warm.
If you PM me your email address I'll send you a copy.

That's from a snatch landrover, they do come up for sale sometimes on eBay but they are very expensive. You might get one from hobsons industries give them a ring.
But be warned the mod did modify these bull bars for the desert and cut the middle bit off.

Sounds like your carbs need a full set up to be honest.
that screw you've been adjusting is the very last step if you can't slow it down with that then they need to be fully setup.
it's not to hard to do but you need a carb balancer and you need to do step by step.

C
Shame your not local to me as I would have had a look at your carbs.
Which idle screws have you been adjusting. There's three idle screws.
There's the one common one on the throttle link bar, and there's one on each carb.
And each carb has a choke adjuster too with a link bar that needs...

C
Have you taken off the throttle link bar that connects the two carbs together?
And then in unscrew each idle screw.
Where abouts are you from??
-
C
You might find there are restrictors on the carbs that can be removed, I don't know if that's what made a 20bhp difference .
-
C
To me it sounds like it's your choke, have you checked the adjustments on the carbs for the chokes. And the arrows all line up. I take it you got su carbs.

C
Is your choke adjusted correctly? That could

It's a 300tdi one, all works and give plenty of heat.
