Hi all I'm having some strange issues trying to install the aircon unit I have. Background is, I purchased a 300tdi engine together with its entire wiring loom and it's aircon unit (under dash type) so everything is from the original donor vehicle. The loom truns out to be a ROW 300tdi loom...

Silly question but what is this hole in the water pump as water is squirting out of it. I'm in the process for replacing the P gasket and pump gasket but need to know if I need a new water pump? am I missing a bung or are the seals inside gone? Cheers all for any advice.

Thanks for all the advise, it's in and as you can see in the photos I went for the new r380 crossmember. I'll start another thread for the re build as it's been so far a massive undertaking. Not just the "all you need us an engine mate" like I thought when I bought it :-) I went for new seat box...

The two above the ones I measured? Your best bet may be to take a photo of where your looking at and circle.

Old crossmember gone, new r380 one installed, old seat box gone, engine installed last week, it went in like a dream. Thanks everyone for your advice. I have loads of photos if anyone is interested of the entire install. Just don't know where to post them.

right now i'm a bit confused. I thought if used the r380 cross member this would position the engine in the correct position within the bay thus been able to use all the correct hoses etc etc, (as the engine rad and gearbox i have came out of a 2000 110 defender) but now its been suggested...
