Hello all
This is a part follow up thread to one I made about the injector readings being out of balance i.e fault codes stored whilst connected to diagnostic device at garage.
Does anyone know the best and most economical way to renew or refurb the diesel injectors?
There is an erratic idle...

Couple of updates, spoke to Bearmach directly about the cost of the unlock codes being around the £160 - £220 region from different 3rd party outlets.
They are looking into it as they advise me they shouldnt be that high!
Secondly about the icarsoft cr plus or similar icarsoft devices I...

I've come to my own conclusion on these devices, and there are plenty of other landy owners using the icarsoft devices rather than the hawkeye. There isnt much difference between what the hawkeye can do and the icarsoft.
Its only a matter of time before the icarsoft software is updated to do...

Happy New Year to everyone !
Question for 'johnlad' , you mentioned earlier you paid £85 for a Bearmach Hawkeye unlock code. Can you share the source? i.e web link , company name of who's doing it at that price?
I've searched and the going rate is £200 ~ £220 per unlock code...

Any idea where those drain pipes run to?
Inside the windsreen supports, through the inner wings?
Looks like you have to take the whole lot out, there should be drain ports in the frame.
From the state of decay and rust area, I'd say the glass was leaking.
-
V6, had a look for these drain tubes.
Do you or anyone else reading have any pictures of them?
Do you have to take sunroof out to view them?
Heres a picture of the far right corner.
-
V6 where are the drain holes ?
I wouldnt mind but the sunroof fits tight in its housing and the weather seal around the glass looks ok. Havent a clue where and how its getting in!
See pictures, just the drivers side. Waters making its way right round the whole of the sunroof, I've had to put...

Hello
Can anyone confirm if the 'sports mode' Auto gearbox on a TD4 , causes the injectors to work harder?
Bit like that when you connect the Synergy 2 rover ron box?
Been using 'sports mode' for the first time since I bought the car and the injectors retaining plates have worked themsleves...

Hello
Anyone got any tips on how to stop the sunroof leaking on a 10 year old freelander 1 ?
The frame where the glass joins seems to have become rusted and on its way to being rotted above the drivers area, letting in water.
Ive used rags to swab up the water. i.e rolled up and placed...

My earlier posts on this thread, I provided pictures of the cylinder readings when an Auto Logic diagnostic device was connected to the td4.
So they must be stored in the TD4 ecu memory, otherwise how would the Auto Logic device show them?
The td4 went to the landy garage to check that the new...

Nodge68: is the OBDII device bluetooth ?
Ive read these bluetooth devices cannot clear or read srs, abs , air bags. Is that true?
-
Pscan.eu, what tool are you selling?
With the engine off, ignition only on, the diagnostic device should show the 'cylinder readings' prior to engine shut down. i.e stored in the TD4 ecu memory
The icarsoft doesnt even do that, its '0' after you've driven the vehicle and engine off, ignition...
-
digby, thanks for confirming.
The Auto logic diagnostic device at the landy garage read the last known cylinder values stored in the td4's ecu memory. And was viewable on screen when searching for error codes.
The hawkeye Arctic2 has shows the cylinder readings as they should be.
I presumed the...

Arctic2:
When you took your 'cylinder' readings on that hawkeye device, did you have the engine running or not?
Bought myself an 'icarsoft cr plus' diy diagnostic tool and have tried it out on the TD4 engine data stream page that covers many areas, including engine roughness and fuel control...
