Fitted a new battery earlier this week & saw the ecu behind the battery....it's for the transfer box & I believe it has a fan behind it....as previously posted above by Marjon.
It still came on even with the new battery but after about a 40 mile stop start shopping trip it has stopped. Went on...

That's a good possibility....I'll start looking a bit deeper....after I've fitted it's new fuel pump & can move it to a more accessible postion.
Thanks.

My battery's on passenger side but aren't my ecu's, & therefore e-box fan, under the big black cover(e-box?) at the right of the engine bay.....driver's side?

Thanks for replying.
I think the 'e-box fan' is on the driver's side, seen it on an American YouTube video*, but mine's a rhd & the fan noise is coming from passenger side. It's everytime I open a door/tailgate/bonnet.....even if the car's been stood for a day or more. It only runs for a minute...

Thanks for all your replies but I was more concerned about the immobilisor/key recoding/pairing etc.
Apart from having the doors open, (maybe in case of central locking being activated?), I 'knew' the others but thanks anyway.

I have already fitted a...

I got the trimmer to do it before I broke things.
He managed to release the sides of the seats' covers which allows you to lift up the catch....still tricky but better than destroying the plastic handle etc & then hoping the cable is still in one piece.

Rear seats in the upright position but both the release catches to fold the 60/40 seats aren't working. The driver's side catch feels loose, probably the cable's broken or dislodged, lock indicator button on top of the seat is flush with the top of the seat. Passenger side feels ok...

Hi
I've tried the above, & the simpler way as in the handbook, but still the window only drops a fraction rather than the required amount. I can just open the door but have to make sure the glass goes under the top trim before closing the door fully. When opening the door catch requires 2...
