L322 04 4.4 V8 can I expect any problems when reconnecting the battery?

Hi,

I'd like to disconnect the battery to fit a new fuel pump, already removed, but not if it will cause any problems restarting etc.

.....so no procedure to go through....like ign on for 30secs, off, start...??
Just retune radio & nothing else?

Open all the doors for precaution purposes.

And reconnect

Positive first - then negative. etc etc.

Make sure the dvd sat nav has powered down first before disconecting the battery as they can get scrambled if you dont wait for the light to go of first.

You will probably have to turn the steering wheel lock to lock as well.
Once reconnected.

Thanks for all your replies but I was more concerned about the immobilisor/key recoding/pairing etc.

Apart from having the doors open, (maybe in case of central locking being activated?), I 'knew' the others but thanks anyway.

Never had problems with ours after flat battery and when I replaced battery.

Key fob worked straight away as Normal.
