    ive done it now i removed the bolt and drilled it out on the lathe then brazed a tube into it . only thing with t is itgives you the boost pressure there and not in the manifold . better to know the pressure there ..

    Can anyone tell me what thread the bolt is in the back of the 300 tdi inlet manifold ? Or has anyone got one knocking about ? I'm wanting to either tap it or drill and braze an outlet in it so I can use it for my boost guage. Has anyone else put boost guage here ? Thanks carl.

    read on here about p gasket so thats been done when ive come to put water pump back on the faces dont seem to mate up very well like the water pump housing has warped ? is this possible or normal ? :confused:

    just after some advice please ive just bought a 300tdi to go in my landy the engine is from an r reg discovery which ive been told had done 130 k was told cam belt had been replaced but thought i would change it anyway while engine was on the bench all im wondering is is it worth doing...

    its not very high only about 2 inch but its only an 88 inch plus the lenth of the lt77 the angle seems quite steep . it seems to vibrate more when slowing down on the over run .

    so the flange on the front of the td5 transfer box wouldnt fit on the rear of the lt77 transfer box ? wonder if i can make an adapter that will fit one to the other ?

    can anyone tell me if the transfer box on the lt77 gearbox is the same as the one used on the td5 discovery ? what im thinking of trying is using the double joint prop from the td5 on the rear of my landrover has anyone done this ? thanks carl .
