Recomendation for a loud air horn

Big stainless steel electric horn trumpet off a boat, on fleabay for about £40, mounted one on my roof rack, it's the business!

    Heaters

That is a rheostat or also known as a variable resistor, it changes the resistance to the fan motor, hence changing the speed of fan.

    Headlamp full beam blowing fuse

Yes all sorted! Was a short in the loom between heater box area & headlight, just snip the wires up there & crimp in replacement wires, that's assuming yours is the same!

    Galvanizing Wheel Rims

Might seem silly to some but is there any problems with galvanizing steel tubeless or tubed rims? I'm just really annoyed with them corroding, especially powder coated modulars!

    Long range tanks.

try and get some pics tomorrow, will be hard to see the pipework though as I've got side jerrycan holders and it's pretty tight in there!

    Long range tanks.

Fitted a 90 tank to my 110 Hardtop last year, pretty easy tbh. You'll need a front triangular bracket from a 90, the rear tank can be bolted to the seatbelt/tub outrigger by using some thick rubber matting as a packing spacer. I used a series 3 filler neck and a 90degree silicone hose off ebay...

Anyone know where to get these??

I have been toying with this idea for my own 110 Hardtop, just on one side though. It's such a pain having to unload all my stuff to get to the front. Another option is go to a coach/trailer builder who does chippy vans, it's exactly the same thing and you could save a lot of doe sourcing locally.;)

    Manifold gasket question

Thanks, all makes sense now.:D Why have two metal inlet gaskets with a composite one in the pack is anyone guess. Payen set so not a cheapo one.

    Manifold gasket question

I have taken the cylinder head off my 2 1/4 petrol Lightweight for a good de-coke, got a good quality headgasket set and there is the normal full length fibre type gasket, that does both inlet and exhaust manifold to head but there are a further two metal, twin port, metal shim type gaskets. Are...

    Rear Quarter panels?

From my fabricating experience, PU40 (polyurethane Adhesive) or Tigerseal if bonded bare metal to metal is stronger than any spot-weld. I would stick a pop-rivet here and there for a nice tight joint and ease.

    Soundproofing so far

Used loads of flashing tape in my 110, far cheaper than Dynomat and is really the same stuff, it's nearly like a Rangie now. I used rubber matting as carpet tiles will stink after a while with damp.

    Defender breakers/parts in Antrim (NI)

BLRC all the way, they have very reasonable postage rates, save you on the fuel, if she's not running on the raspberry juice! :D

    Military model, headlamp switch

I had a Military 110 a while back and removed the same switch you have and replaced it with a civilian one on the steering switch-gear. The multiplug on the steering column was there so simply plugged it in. The multiplug on the military switch loom in the middle needs to have a bridging wire...
