Hiya I am looking to buy a 110 due to new addition to the family and the added space it brings for camping and trips etc. I currently have a defender 90 td5 2002. Looking around I can afford a 110 tdci xs 2008 but with 120,000 on the clock. So.... Is that mileage a concern for the tdci...

Pretty sure it was factory fitted as it is a post 2002 defender and apparently they were fitted with CL. The locks were cycling lock/unlock but after a bit of wd40 that stopped but now the key in lock wont activate the CL... I could try another actuator but at £50 want to try a few other...

Thank you for the reply kwakerman. I checked the actuator and the rod is fine but the idea about the switch makes a lot of sense. I did open the actuator and located the switch and visually it looked ok but doesn't mean it's not broken! Is here anyway to check if it works to save buying a...

any ideas on what I can put on the rods of the spare wheel carrier to keep my spare alloy wheel away from wiper blades? I did use steel bolts but the wheel bounces around... Heard you can get spacer washers but any ideas from where and what size? Thanks

What is the best way to get it back to metal? On the alu and steel sections? Is a sander drill bit the best way?
