CHECK the dynamo output bob they dont put a lot power out when they are fit specially wen compared to an alternator ie modern car .My old sii could flatten the battery with the lights ,wipers heater on and the engine running sometimes u just had to choose witch one to do without .perhaps an alternator conversion maybe?

Hello dave, theres no alternator on the engine, shes an old girl with a dynamo. havent had much time recently to have a good play around, took it out today taking some rubbish down the tip. think a might take it to work with me tomorrow as well.

HAVE U CHECKED 2 c ir theres any drain on the battery when every things switched of bob ie all switches off,,, battery lead off,,voltmeter twixt battery and lead should be no reading or very very low if reading of 1.5volts or multipulls of 1.5 its usually the diodes in the in the alternator new alternator prob solved hurray ps u might not need new batterys maybe result anyhow bol mate

Hello dave, hope the knees feelin better. got the starter sorted. but the batteries are still loosing charge. still useable for what i use it for not as if its me everyday transport. shouldnt be long and you'll be back out on the roads again.

its a 2.25 doozil mate.

Jeez Dave you must have some Driveway? Managed to get spongebob on the road on sunday went for a drive down the sea front, then burnt out the starter solenoid yesterday! I already have a spare one to go on so al be busy on me day off! going to replace the two six volt batteres with a single 12v one as theyre pretty much goosed.
