I got the Froggarts panels too. They are 1.2mm Zintec, so I got a sheet of that and have used it for footwells, floor, sills etc with no problems

I’ve cut some out, it’s the surface rust I want to treat. Going to wire wheel it back today and have another go. It’s just another disappointment; this project seems never ending.

How do.
What’s all your thoughts on this: treated with Hydrate 80 and then painted. All per the instructions.
Got other areas too not yet painted:

Great report and photos. I’ve chased some of this on the inside of the A pillars on mine, with some success. I think the top of the windscreen was my main issue. However, further work is on hold while I’m on with the new chassis, so I’ll be referring back to this again later in the year. 👍

And I had a look; it was your posts I was reading that gave me the idea. Thanks mate! 😀

So here’s the truck:
This was taken when I bought it back in 2018. The reason this project thread is so titled is that it’s been on and off since the end of 2020 and as you’ll see from the above, I’m about to put it on a new chassis. I’ll catch you up on the last few years and then try and keep...

I’ve just bought a Maer chassis for my D2. Went for the premium kit with the cross members, front shock towers and bolt kit. All in: £2554 delivered by a nice chap from Poland!

Evening All.
Firstly, thank you to the many members whose posts I’ve enjoyed reading so far and the advice I’ve picked up on those. So now it’s my turn to give back, and hopefully pick more up along the way.
I’ve a Discovery 2 TD5 Landmark; it’s been my dream to own a Disco for many years. Ever...
