Hi, any one bought and fitted the regulator repair kit from e-crofting and actually managed to fit it successfully. Reading thro the guide, looks like it's a job and a half with no room for error. I'm in 2 minds whether to take on. Any advice out there..........cheers.

V6 auto,noise sounds like something turning but maybe loose, coming from around the auto box (i think) Ta.

When revving in neutral what, if any parts are moving, i'm getting a travelling noise every time i rev the motor.

Will be belt or goosed alternator, very same thing happened to my lads vectra last week, battery light on and driving like a tank.

Got some pics from Ashcroft showing drain, level (5mm allen screw) and fill. Passing onto the local autocentre.

Been told there aint no drain plug in the auto box for changing oil on my V6, how do i drain it? also is there a drain plug on the IRD unit? Thanks.

Whirring/grating noise from auto transmission (i think) when running and in neutral. Friend has suggested i need to change the fluid or the torque converter. The car runs fine with no difference to performance and the noise does abate when car has been running for a while. Any ideas......thanks.
