Everything is sorted! The rear brake drums were not much good and someone had put all the springs on wrong. New drums and springs voila it will now stop on a tuppence.....sort of:D Hand brake next!! Thanks for the replys Andy

I've adjusted shoes to nearly 'binding' new brake fluid and the flexi's are stainless steel braided about 12months old so there must be air in the system somewhere! Thanks for the suggestions Andy

Sorry for the late reply bloody work keeps getting in the way! Replaced the dodgy wheel cylinder,drivers rear, and also replaced bleed nipples as i went around bleeding. Got loads of air out of the passengers rear wheel and still nothing:doh:.i still have to pump the pedal to get it to work...

Hi all I am having big problems with bleeding my brakes, is there a certian sequence? Just replaced the master cylinder but still have to pump the brakes to get them to work Need to replace one slave cylinder as the bleed nipple won't undo and it's round now! hope this solves the above...

Thanks for the replys i think i sorted it erm..one of the actual alternator brackets has snapped and one bolt had come loose and was wobbling around like a wobbly thing but still charging... just! Retightened everything and seems ok but i think i need a new alternator. Will any other...

Evening all, After two years of working to get my landie back on the road,a few hours at the weekend a couple through the week, it finally passed the MOT last week a couple of advisorys but nothing major excellent, Been driving to and from work for the last three days with a great big smille...

Will you not get a cathodic type reaction by having two different metals together i.e. st/st bolt and an iron hanger? I used all original bolts on my springs etc. they are at least designed to do the job. Good luck anyway Andy

Series 3 88'' 2 1/4 diesel looking from the front it's on the right side of the engine. It was connected to the master cylinder with a split/cruddy rubber hose but it was only connected to one of the holes. Is this right if so what does the other hole connect to? Any ideas or help much...
