Something like this:

I changed to a slightly larger aluminum housing which makes the engine go down an stay around 750-800 faster.
-
Thank you - I'll do that.

The timing belt on my freelander 1.8 from 1998 has snapped. It supposedly went quite undramatic when starting with load on the hook - I was not in the car myself!
Now I am worried if there are bent valves. I have removed the camshaft cover. There are no visible signs of damage and I have turned...
-
I had the same problem...I succeded in sawing the head of the bolt off, and then replacing the bolt.
-
On the 1.8 the switch can be removed with just taking the side panel of with all wheels on the ground - dont know about the FL 2 2.2 td4
-
I did it last year, and I had a lot of trouble getting the lang bolts out - but succeeded using a lot of heat on them.
I also spend more time then I like to admit on getting the ABS sensors out. Ended figuring out, yhat I could just release the connection right under the wheel arch and work on...

Once you locate it - it is not that hard to get to with an extension. I think its a 8mm nut. You should bleed this one first since its located lower then the other bleed screw (the plastic one on the rubber pipe).
-
Remember that there should be two bleed screws.

I have had no problem pluggint the hawkeye in to me freelander 1.8 from 1998 - only problem is, that the hawkeye it got stolen last week! - Im jus curious to know, whetther or not the icar-tool would be a good buy considering the price difference to the hawkeye.
-
I lost my hawkeye diagnostic tool last week, and Im looking for a new tool to read and clear fault codes. The Hawkeye is a bit exspensive - so I've been looking at this:
Any thoghts on this one from icar- or maybe recommadtions on other diagnostic tools?

Replaced ird pinion seal due to a leak. I think that the problem might have been, that the pinion nut had come loose, but changed the seal and tighten the nut while I was at it. Also replaced both front drive shafts.
The car jused to have a vibration at around 100 km/h - now it runs smooth......
-
I found this list - I dont know if you can use it:

Du you have to go under the car to change these belts?

The lower point of the pipe (inlet to the pipe) goes from a rubber tube in front of the battery and the outlet on the pipe goes on to the middle of the air cleaner. You can see (part of) the pipe below on the picture to the left - just in front of the battery tray.
