Back again, L322 this time, advice please.

Hello again forum, it's been 9 months since I've been Range Rover'less and after regretting the sale of my faultless P38 I'm looking at getting a L322 for lane work and general workhorse stuff. The problem I have is that I'm short on time so I'm not able to spend weeks researching which model...

    p38 2.5 diesel noisy tappets

Thinner oil an option? Mine's got better after a flush and additive but not as quiet as I'd like, I'm soon to flush one more time and possibly try a thinner oil, just not sure how thin to go.

    P38 or L322?

Next month I'll probably be flipping a coin between a L322 and a Cayenne, that's not to say I'll be letting go of my P38,as a 2.5k utility vehicle I don't think I could ask for more.

    P38 2.5 Plug Relay Faulty?

Tested the voltage from the relay to the plugs and I'm getting 10.5 volts ,my battery is reading 12.5v. Is 10.5 volts low enough to cause my starting problem?

    P38 2.5 Plug Relay Faulty?

My glow plug light stays on for 7 seconds as it always has and this morning it wouldn't start until the third attempt so the problem is getting worse. I replaced the leak off pipes some months ago and there's no air in my feed pipe. I guess now I need to test the voltage going to the plugs so...

    Aircon compressor testing

Tested my aircon compressor today or at least attempted to as my aircon is not working. Gave it a direct feed from the battery and all it did was 'click' ,it didn't come to life at all other than the relay sound, does this point the finger towards or away from the compressor and where should my...

    'New' P38 preventative maintenance

Regular oil changes with a good quality oil is all I'd of asked of the previous keeper of my P38,that way my engine would now sound a lot less tappety I think,oh yeah and don't let the valeters wipe the life out of the steering wheel,I don't like pressing buttons to see what they do because the...
