Well yea. I just wasn't sure if they come with some kind of lacquer on them as the picture of them fitted was as is. Never mind, every day is a school day I'll rub it off and paint em tomorrow. Wouldn't you think they'd paint em before sale?

Just doing some of my mot failures and noticed the track rod ends I fitted a month ago are turning orange already... is this normal? The thread is fine, just the area surrounding the grease nipple.

Cheers. Don't really know what to do about that snapped bolt is that part of the bracket mounted to the chassis with just a nut screwed on?

I'm completely clueless. Where do I put axle stands? I put them under the axle whilst I loosened (snapped) the bolts but it says put stands on chassis and take axle weight with jack but my stands won't reach anywhere on chassis. :( pics appreciated. As you can see I'm not having a good day.

I wish that was all that was on my MOT failure :(. I did my track rod and drag link before I took it too lol. I bought a ball joint splitter which was utter ****e and broke under some pressure. Big hammer and a few exploratory taps (egh em) and popped out no problem. Good luck with the other...

So I changed both easily enough and it drives OK, however It now seems to take longer for the steering wheel to straighten up after I've made a turn on full lock. Could this be the new (cheap) steering damper I have fitted ? "Pro comp ES2000" or have I done something wrong ? I always find it...

I'm a complete amateur. I'm just fitting new tracking arm and drag link. Is it right to just have 1 nut either end keeping the bar from turning? I'm writing this on my phone so I hope the image attaches ok.
