I thought the same until I tried the IID tool from GAP Diagnostics, but it is really easy to use. Best diagnostic tool on the market for the L322, unless you have £1k or more to spend

Before you go to the expense of a diagnostic, i would make sure the battery is fully charged, A low battery can give you all sorts of issues

Not as big a problem as it sounds, the ZF 6 speed box is pretty much the same size as the ZF 5 speed used in the 4.4 petrol. In theory there should be enough sapce to fit it. Colling would probably be pretty easy to sort as well. Comes down to whether or not you could sort the gearbox ECU...

Anything is possible if you have enough money to spend. Given that the engine ECU and Gearbox ECU work together it is likely even if you can get the gearbox to physically fit you would need someone to re-program the gearbox ECU as the V8 diesel ECU would not work due to being set up to work with...

L322 is a far better RR than the P38. Both A L322 and a P38 can bankrupt you, but if you compare the 2 you will always be dissapointed by the P38

L322 is wellworth it, but they can be pricey if they go wrong. As everyone has already said be careful when buying as there are some real dogs out there. £7.5k is very close to the bottom of the market so amybe worth hoding off until you have a little more

Should be diagrams and instructions in rave (I don't have a copy to put up). I suspect you would need to remove the viscous fan to get at the belt, possibly some of the top coolant pipes may need to come out as well. Hopefully someone with a TD6 will be able to confirm

I think the belt probably has a spring loaded tensioner, so only solution is new belt and hope there is not a problem with the tensioner

The seals on the rear wiper motor have a habit of failing so the wiper gear box fills up with water and siezes up. I saw a write up which suggested you could take the gearbox apart and replace the seals and unsieze the wiper gearbox if you motor has not burn out.

Unless you have climatic seats then they are a whole lot different

255/50/20 is the correct size for L322

Not sure 18" wheels fit a TDV8. Thought the smallest you could go was 19" due to the size of the brembo calipers

My TDV8 gives me the special program off message when I switch it back to 'normal'. Never had the message on start up. Check your warranty re the battery, it maybe covered, the stealer my just be trying it on.
