Winters here - Even in sunny Cornwall! I now have a a squeekey noise coming from one of my belts. Has anyone tried that 'no squeek spray' before? Or have any tips on the best way to go around tightening them?
Cheers

wd40 will make it slip worse, I think he means belt slip spray, it's a sticky aerosol that will stop your belts slipping for a little while but you're better off tightening or replacing them if worn.

yer thats the stuff
There is some in the shed, and wondered if it is any good?

Like I said, it'll stop the squeaking for a while but not for long. imo you're better off finding out why it's squeaking and fixing that.;)

I think the belt probably has a spring loaded tensioner, so only solution is new belt and hope there is not a problem with the tensioner

Is there an engine diagram that will tell me this? What is the best way to access the belts, and does anything need taking out to get to them?

Should be diagrams and instructions in rave (I don't have a copy to put up). I suspect you would need to remove the viscous fan to get at the belt, possibly some of the top coolant pipes may need to come out as well. Hopefully someone with a TD6 will be able to confirm
