LIFT THE rear right seat, peel back the carpet. You'll see a black disc, undo the screws.Under the disc is a ring that can be opened using a lump hammer and a cold chisel, tap the ring anti clockwise(I think),its has to turn 3-5 full rotations(cant remember xactly)undo pipes and lekky conector.Oh it might be handy to vacuum dust and crap from aound the sender before removing.

Did you get it home alright?

Thanks for that.....it will be my first job in the morning.

Got home ok, it only started playing up about 200 yards from the house

Might be an idea to drain the actual pump as well as it holds quite a bit of fuel when it's removed. And put it in a bucket when you take it out, i made the mistake of leaving it on my bathroom floor while i cleaned parts of it out only to find a small puddle forming

I'd pull some diesel fuel cleaner into it as well personally. I think Redex do a diesel version of theirs.

On another note, did you get out to that place at the weekend Joe?

No Adam, I didn't make it down there last weekend, all the kids had prior engagements or were sick.I intend camping down there for a night or 2,when the weather gets more predictable.Theres a nice walk all the way to the fort along the coast, through the boatyard.

If that's the case, you should email Shell and all the other oil companies out there. They've been using costly fractional distillation to separate the components out of crude oil for ages, rather than simply leaving them in a tank and allowing them to settle!

thats right CRUDE Oil does need to be seprated through distillation but i believe that she filled the car with petrol and one seprated they dont just mix straight back i sugest you get i nice clear glass and try an experment you might learn something bit of both fuels and may be some avaition fuel just for fun

I think a lot of you lads have been sniffing your fuel tanks.drain the tank under the seat remove in tank pump. then remove filter under bonnet and pump fuel down fuel line and out then replace filter . replace pump back in to tank and turn over till fuel feeds through and engine fires up flush with diesel bosster hope it helps
