For the last 3 weeks since coming back from hold my land refuses to start first time can take several runs of the fuel pump and a dozen cranks from cold and half a dozen cranks when warm. Once she is running she's fine and drives as normal.

I have a nanocom and there are no faults reported and have run glow plug and injector test no problems found.

Did a full service yesterday and still no better anyone got any ideas?

Fuel could be leaking back via the fuel filter unit non return valve. I've had one of those recently. The unit the fuel filter screws into has a valve and O-ring. Once these start leaking back, the pipe fills with air and you have a car which won't start easily. Won't show any other signs while driving. Just when the car has been left overnight or for some hours.

Either fit a new unit or strip it down to replace the non return valve which is available as a separate part from LR.

that sounds like my issue do you know the part number at all for the kit to repair it and is there a reference to fix it in rave

Yes it sounds like your problem is air in the system. The air could be getting in from anywhere though. Have you played about with any part of the fuel system prior to this happening or have you noticed a diesel leak from anywhere? Fuel regulator of fuel filter are the 2 most common areas.

Don't have the SRO number handy, but the part number is WJN000030 for the whole unit.

VUB503950 is the non return valve kit.

You may also want to put a new WJN500110 in there as well as that part is servicable but not really needed.

There is defo no fuel leak been under the car this weekend doing th dif and greaboxes oils and no signs of a leak at all. I did the FPR back in Jan but no leaks there, it does sound liek this no return valve.

Alos had a split inone of the fuel lines in march but that was replaced.
