guys, how do i stop my windscreen fogging up when i get out of the car? not used the car for a few days, went down to halfords today, got out and went shopping, when i got back the inside of the screen was misted up. all other windows were starting to mist too. is there a filter i need to change somewhere?

will have to check it out.

where is the matrix?

where would it leak or there abouts?

regards

FIRST make quite sure the RECIRCULATION BUTTON is NOT pushed in.#

It is dead easy for this to happen, and then no fresh air is brought in by the heating system. The stale damp air just goes round and round getting damper by the minute.

Also, make sure the fan is ALWAYS running even if only at setting #1. People breathing and just being inside a car makes moisture, and unless the fan is always shoving the stale moist air out it will get worse and worse.

In a serious case put a mains powered de-humidifier in overnight. You may be shocked how much water it can find inside your car.

The car is blowing what looks to be Steam into the cabin with a sweet sickly smell to it, via the vents now when the temp is set to around 21 or above on the climate control system. I am guessing that I need to replace my Heater Matrix.

Where is the best and preferably cheapest place to get one from. Will I need any other bits to complete this job? gaskets etc?

The sweet odour is either HybridGirl been three-timing me in your car, or ethylene glycol antifreeze.

It sure starts pointing at the heater matrix .... but did you check the re-circulation button?

Yes checked the re circ button.

just been out to the car at lunch and have water droplets on the inside of the window. guess its time to get a matrix.

any useful tips for me?
