Superb half-day out Greenlaning.

Just got in from meeting up with "Codbasher" in his Series Landrover..And Dave in his Toyota Land Cruiser.. Done 4 hours of Greenlaning and i gotta say Simon, your Series "Landy" done real, REAL good..You should be very proud of the old girl.. 34 years old and goes like a freight train..I,m WELL impressed mate...We,ll get out and do that again soon when you get your tyre sorted ok..
Have a look at the pictures attached to this thread boys and girls..That,ll be a permanent grin on our faces then for the next week or so me thinks......Absolutely kicking fun..

Also it only cost us for our fuel!! So thats a half day playing for nothing...If we get out early next time Simon we can do all day and still only have to pay for our fuel..Better than pay and play me thinks...And we have the whole of the south east to play on...YEAH!!!

What can I say??............

Met Nigel and Dave in Canterbury, off we set, dont ask where we went cos I aint got a clue!! All I can say is that it was a fantastic day out for my first time Greenlaning... The routes were scenic, dry, wet, very wet, narrow, wide, steep (Downhill, lowrange, like a rocket!!!) (Dont ask) Yep i did get stuck, once on a narrow uphill section, tried it 4 times and was going to go around via road to meet the lads, then watched Dave go up in the Toyota, and thought, one last try, and up i went Next time was in the mud, see piccys, in all fairness Nigel almost got stck in the Disco, but I did manage to blow a tyre, so on with the spares when Dave pulled me out...

Yep great day out, I am still grinning, drive is covered in mud, thanks guys was great to meet you, and your missus Nige + kids....

Looking forward to the next one, making mental note to remove roof rack and take a chain saw!! Glad the old girl did herself proud, believe I am proud of her....

I think it was the best fun we,ve all had with our clothes on in a long time...cant wait for the next ALLDAYER!! We are gonna start at 8am next time and take in a load more tracks....And i will be taking a load more pictures...

Did,nt need the low range but i would,nt fancy going through Coddys Bog again mate..Sorry you lost a tyre mate but all in all, a good time was had by all...
Next time we,ll meet at 8am and do the ones over towards Ashford as well.. and take two flasks and make a day of it eh??

Grunt reckons thats why they close the Byways coz people like us go on them and chew em up...He so stupid...We did,nt get out of first gear and followed all the ruts that were already there, but it seems some small minded jerkoff,s have nothing better to do with there time than sit and bitch about other people...Thats why he,s on the ignore list...
