Blackbox Solutions web site problems

I know that during the last week, a few have been quite concerned that when they tried to access the Blackbox Solutions website, they have found it no longer there.

Problems with our hosting companies UPS repairs caused a power surge that has left us with the problem of rectifying quite badly corrupted server contents.

Fairness and blame is currently something we can debate tomorrow,
for now, i have my hands full just trying to get the BBS site back up fully as was.

Hope you had back ups? We had a similar problem where our corporate website was deliberately hacked and crashed. People trying to find us were being redirected to a retailer specialising in DD and above cup-size bras! Quite amusing in retrospect but not at the time!

does this BBS guy contribute to the Accy beer fund for using LZ for his public service advertising announcements ?

If someone needs urgent help or a FOB code conversion whilst the support section of the BBS site is down can we PM the Boss Man for personal service??????????

I appreciate that this may have resulted in them imagining the worst possible case of their no longer having the benifit of accces to our much renowned and capable systems and equipment, and in the current economic climate, that is always going to be a very real possibility, resulting in those who have already invested in one being quite smug.

However, the problem in question has absolutely nothing at all to do with the current heath of status of BBS.

When did he last offer any advice on how to repair a Range Rover. He is a member of this community for one reason only to promote his products. Plain and simple. You can't blame him for doing it though.

Now now wammers, let not start this argument again its getting very boring listening to you moan about BBS_Guy

well i for one am glad bbs guy is a member of our community,without his knowledge and his products a lot of range rover owners would have to rely on the stealers a hell of a lot more.fair play to the guy for doing what he does.what difference does it make to anyone if he does promote his company on the best landy forum anyway.

Personally, I would sooner he stayed on here than defected to elsewhere.
I've started advertising too, in the for sale section for my Holiday cottage here in France.:nospamhere:

I think he uses the forum to promote his products. Nothing else. Just the same as he does on all the other forums he is on. If you are getting bored don't read the comments. "Sorry site down, back up soon" or "Sorry for loss of site, trying to get it back up ASAP" would have done, no need for the promotional splatter. IF he wants a commercial advert on here let him pay for one and stop the clandestine stuff. Or start contributing by giving advice to people about how to repair their Rangies. Something on a subject that does not mention any of his products would be a good start. If he knows anything other than about diagnostics that is. As i said you cannot blame him for doing it if he is allowed to. This forum is world wide just as the others he is on are, he is advertising on all of them in different guises. BBS guy on here BBS spy on another. And so on. As BBS spy on one site he did a long promotional post introducing a product. Then an obvious stooge asked him questions on it. A full diatribe took place outlining his various products in the guise of a discussion. Blatant advertising. There are a hardcore of people on here who give up somtimes a considerable amount of time to help people without any prospect or desire for reward, one member i know sends his Syncmate out around the country for free to help people. Others travel to help people for free. BBS guy is not on here to do that, he is on to create as much revenue as he can. That is the big difference. He he wants an advert let him pay for it i am sure he can afford it.

It's actually part of where I live. Not sure what happened, every time I tried to upload the ad it said problem with the Landyzone site please try again, then I saw a comment on the holiday site from a Landyzone member, looked and found it had actually uploaded..... twice!

Oh and BBS guy is a paying contributor to Landyzone. I pay too, but not a lot. If I get any bookings I will put a percentage towards the site.

well put - irrespective of how good/bad his product is a still can't work out why he's been allowed to get away with it for so long, no one else gets away with it
