Better with the clip but can work without but there is a chance it may escape. All you need is a short length of a stiff pipe, I have used a bit of blue alkathene water pipe. Place clip on the rod and then slip on the pipe, needs to hold the...

Hey all! Another Thread :p I am looking to change the oil sump on the Freelander but last I looked the IRD and other brackets are in the way, if anyone has done it I would love some suggestions, I really don't want to have to take the IRD out...

Finally got round to fitting roof bars, sourced some genuine LR bars at a good price in all black. The boot mechanism was also on its way out so changed the mechanism in the lower rear door. It did refuse to open at times so manage to replace...

Flossie replied to the thread Fuel sender(diesel) outlet size?.
I can't do that without a lot of faff. I run bio which eats rubber and I've converted everything to clear nylon pipe and compression fittings and a facet 12v pump. My plan is to fit a 8 or 10mm 90deg compression fitting to the sender and lengthen...

Everything mentioned above plus any thing we may have forgotten
  • Flossie
Ahh yes. Forgot to add the compressor, gloves and overalls to my list. Also an led torch that's permently plugged in in the aux plug in the boot and the necessary lead to charge a phone.

Sounds tight to me. Ideally you adjust shoes as you have done but with cable slackened right off at the handbrake to avoid upsetting the adjustment. Then set handbrake to 1 click and adjust the cable to make the drums just rub. Then release...

Hi miktdish. Thanks for the above. So why this behavior appears only on up shifting from 1st to 2d ? If clutch doesn’t disengage well we should have a problem on other gears (3, 4 & 5). Right ?

Generally considered wise to tow a spare car behind you! If long distance then definitely a Nanocom. In my wheel-well I have a roll of metric and imperial spanners going all the way from 4 mm up to an inch. Also pliers .and various screwdrivers...

There was a pile of plastic mouldings of all shapes and sizes that had to be taken off but I think the main thing was the expense of the unit. I went to this place again yesterday to sort some dates out for the outrigger in front of the fuel...

I think the RPM 28 and temperature is just it logging something when shut off and a ghost fault. Not sure what the glow plug one is. That looks real. The invalid fault is most likely just that. 25% modulation is weird. I wonder if injector #4...

That's an air breather for the engine. Any excess pressure in the engine goes out here. There are a few causes. The o ring around the base is not sealing, and engine oil is simply splashing over the area. Undo the little bolt that holds it in...

I will try to do it in the morning might be a bit hard though because I start work at 05:00, also i don't have a laser thermometer. I might not get to it till Saturday. At which point I will be redoing the injector seals and washer again encase I...

Just a Nanocom, spare compressor & small adjustable spanner (for fitting it), plus some oil & water in mine these days. Years ago I always had a toobox in the car, but these days if required will get it recovered home instead.

pwood999 replied to the thread P38A MAF on diesel.
Nanocom doesn't appear to show the MAF. It does MAP(boost) & Ambient pressure, plus various other stuff, but for MAF you would need to measure the voltage separately.

Its v hot here at mo. but we had a wet winter and the well's held out amazingly this year. Its on a timer so it runs at the same time every day and there's a level control so that the pump can't run dry, which ever turns it off first. In the...

Assuming they are the same generation Haldex, then it should work. If it’s working intermittently, have you checked the wiring to the Haldex unit? Up by the rear diff, where the wiring harness plugs in, it’s quite exposed. I don’t think they are...

I can’t remember the size off the top of my head, but I deleted that pipe and now have one length of diesel hose from the sender to the lift pump.
  • James Blakely
M8 also my nanocom was reading all the temps from sensors when I checked a couple of days ago, I can't remember what they were though but I was getting reading for all of them EG air flow aap inlet fuel temp coolant temp.
  • James Blakely
Hi M8 I have a Nanocom But it's not showing any faults.
