No you can't rule out a manual ECU with an auto one but even if you could you would need nanocom or similar to set it and if you have such disgnostic tool you can read live data from the sensors and that's the only way to fix this thing if it's a...
Hi Sierrafery do I check for continuity, and do you know if I can put my auto ecu in to it to check for that I'm not sure cause it's a manual that's not running, just to rule out the ecu?
Yes it can be the fuel temp sensor which is in the FPR but only live data can reveal it cos it doesnt trigger a fault code if it has erratic readings only if it's short or open circuit.
Bike chain dry lube.(grey bottle from halfrauds)Comes in liquid form stops my chain getting rusty during mountain biking in the winter so should work on other things.
Also Use it on the horse ramp hinges.
May i ask how?
I have just put a brand new one in thats the third one and thats the fault readings i get and when cleared they come strat back so it dosent make sense. the earth wires are all good and the engine starts first turn over . and no...
Quick and simple solution, disconnected input + output of the throttle body heater and connected them together with a hose connector.
And extra clamps just to be sure.
Hope the connector is rated for at least 120⁰C.
Any issues with this...
Maybe? how could I tell? It's only attached to the brake booster via a pin and clip style connection, and the brake booster is bolted on.
The hand brake used to do one click hence I think 3 may be too much, maybe the space could be the unused...
The world has spent the last 100 odd years building up a petrol and diesel refuelling infrastructure so it will take a while for EV's chargers to catch up. It doesn't help that most of us charge at home most of the time so a constant demand in...
I adjusted them to where I couldn't get the drum on at all, then 1 click back to fit them on, the hand brake goes up about 3 clicks so that tells me they need adjusting again, maybe the adjuster has gone bad on them?
Did you adjust out the brake shoes? I normally bring them out until the wheel won't turn then back a notch.
If the hand brake pulls up more than a few notches it would indicate they need adjusting.
Not a Disco but still all Landy, i changed the front shock absorbers on the 101. It now no longer goes BANG! over bumps in the road. Had to modify a threaded boss to allow me to compress the rubbers to remove and replace the split pin. You need a...
It's perfectly possible and worth considering! For now though I just need an MOT it's been 4 months since I last drove it properly, gonna give it a quick shoot up the motorway before the MOT, I will be sure to let everyone know how that goes...
I realise it's been a while since my last post but to put a full stop under this...
After debating whether or not to go big bucks and get a genuine Lucas relay or a blue box 'replace it in another couple of years' job i sat back and thought about...
Apologies if this is a common topic.
Slave cylinder decided it wanted to be free today, and the rod came with it.
New cylinder on order, but now thinking about that dreaded clip that locks the rod onto the fork. And how I'm going to tackle it...
Attempted to take the down pipe of my TD5, bloody hell the nuts were tight! Map gas didn't help much so I thought better of it and gave up.
Cut the hedge instead.
