err . . actually three causes.
1. Its either that the valve is actually stuck closed.
2. Or its a faulty height sensor & ECU confuses the reason
3. Or intermittent connection in the driver pack connector, i.e. if the driver pack cannot trigger...
First stop, have you checked the battery drain since you solved the bonnet issue ?
Now, gotta be honest, I know the principle of parasitic draw. You place your multi meter across the battery post and disconnected lead and read milliamps. Pull...
1.20m extension.
5kg : 80 sec
8kg : 35 sec
I have no Idea how to interprete these results except that they seem 2 times longer than the measures from the guy in the video. Is it so bad ?
This is the key. Very ver different between first na engined 90/110. And the last puma models. Dealer would let you drive what you are looking to buy but doesn’t help you choose between models if you have no experience.
With “it’s 24yr old technology” its pretty safe at the vehicle has to be opened and various bits of wiring has to be reconfigured while the alarm is sounding.
You can go back 50years and stick a locking steel bar on the steering, which owners of...

Outside of the forums, it appears common that the UJs are replaced. On LZ, after discussing problems, the UJs are very rarely changed.
The damper, or front diff mount, is often changed. The 2 rear ones are usually fine. They must take a bit...
Hi everyone,
I did the battery volt check by leaving the battery disconnected overnight.
Before removing - 12.5
After removing the battery connection -12.6

After connecting - 12.5

I also had both front wheels off the ground when I changed the anti roll bar bushes yesterday. I guy on YouTube had his car on a ramp but it made more sense to me to have the pressure off the bar.
They were about £20 a set. I try to stay away from the £9.99 sets and I won’t buy the £50-£60 sets as it seems these items are failing so often. That’s what let me to chase other possible issues and as they are attached to the anti roll bar and I...

Hey Folks
Land Rover newbie here. I purchased a 2011 Commercial Disco 4 and i love it. So much space, comfort etc and a bloody good pulling machine. I have had the teething problems already but still currently own it :D.
Just want to say thank...
Advice please….
Having found a peach of a 2001 D2 I’d like to keep it, I’m of a mind to buy once and cry once in getting it protected so what’s going to work best, is there anything on the market that actually works?
Cheers
Triggermortis
The anti-roll bar prevents axle articulation which is good on the road but bad off road. I wouldn't leave them off for long but it should be OK for a test.
BTW you probably already know this having replaced so many but when changing drop links...
That's very poor, are they cheap ones?
I fitted a Febi Bilstein one on my Focus once, it failed in 3 days.
Check lower ball joint if you haven't already.
You learn something g new every day. I was very nervous about trying this but I obviously shouldn’t be. Thank you. If I renew the drop links again it will be the 4th pair I’ve replaced and I haven’t owned this Freelander more than 17ish months.
