Thanks ! As you say, not human friendly but I can at least decipher the connector pins and the wire colours.

I care because I am trying to gauge the current position of the market to work out if it’s realistic to get a project vehicle for a couple grand like I did two years ago or if the market has moved up and I need a larger budget. I am not...

Yes, common enough. I did that very job for a mate some years ago. Also many have had drum brake rear axle replaced with later disc brake axle. Box of chocolates as Forrest said.:):)

Hi, you can download for free the whole electrical trubleshooting manual from the web just search "Discovery 1 ETM pdf" or see THIS , just read the introducting user guide to know how to corroborate the wire colours and connector views cos it's...

Also on that Ad, can they get any more gauges in that thing? It's just missing an Altitude meter, ASI, virtual horizon and a yoke!

I think chancers and people who are convinced they're getting every penny they spent back make up a good proportion of sellers.... I mean people are entitled to ask whatever price they want, but of course if it's not realistic it will just...

Why post this same question on multiple forums at the same time. Do you not believe the answers from one forum and want to play them off against each other or something????

Hi, Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the ABS on a 1997 Discovery 300tdi EDC ? The blink test is giving a 3-1 error "Hydraulic modulator solenoid valve, RH front outlet - ECU connection/wiring" I need to start with a continuity test on the...

Depends on your wheels as well If you replace big landy tyres with Disco wheels/tyres will gear it down 5mph or so and the higher geared transfer box will not be as much of a problem. I once put a disco transfer box onto a V8 110 and it was doing...

Drive a bit slower on the motorway. My son has a 200tdi and 1.2 transfer box. It is fine in most situations but it lightly loaded, lots of steep hills can prove a challenge though. We stopped on a steep road in Wales once and had to use low...

This could suggest a missing or insecure cable clip. Little plastic bit which holds metal rod in place ? I know the Disco 2 rear pads can be removed with door closed, any chance you can climb over and remove front from inside ?

You can't rely on the axles being correct for that year, my son's Ninety has a Disco 1 front axle I do believe.

Is this with engine running ? If yes check that alternator and wiring. If it is when you first connect battery, it sounds like you have something going to ground. With battery disconnected use a multi-meter to check for wires going to ground...

Very expensive for what it is. If it was original on a galvy chassis, the price would be somewhat more justified.

Back to the topic of the thread this is another one that seems hugely over priced: LINK I am not denying it has had a lot of work done but as it is a series vehicle the higher prices are for originality which this is a long way from. So again is...
